Tamarind Citrus Brew

Ingredients
(for 1 cup)

Quantity

Coffee Decoction

40-50 ml

Hot Water (93℃ - 97℃)

100 ml

Tamarind

30 gm

Sugar

1 tbsp

Tonic Water

100 ml

Ice

4-5 cubes

Lemon

1 wedge

Salt

1/2 tsp

Red Chilli Powder

1/2 tsp



Preparation

Decoction

  1. Start with fully immersing tamarind in hot water along with sugar for 10 mins
  2. Once soft, squeeze the tamarind well
  3. Pass this through a strainer and collect the pulp in a bowl
  4. Rim a highball glass with lemon, salt and red chilli powder
  5. In this glass, add 30 ml of tamarind paste and 4 cubes of ice
  6. Pour coffee decoction over ice
  7. Layer with tonic
  8. Enjoy chilled
